Native quests were given limited distance. You will never receive tasks such as "move cattle from Grund to Amarna". Rewards for some quests were increased.

New customizable troop tree was added. Recruits for this TT can be hired in Mercenary Guild (see below). You will be able to use ~90% of items existing in Perisno to equip your soldiers. Only very few of them (like unique items or Third Legion items) are blocked. Unlike in PoP, you will not be limited to 9 slots. Every item you will put in a soldier's inventory will be taken into account. So if some of you don't like clone-like troops, you will be able to give your soldiers plenty of different items. The upkeep of custom troops is flexible. 469-line calculates a special multiplier that will affect the upkeep (it can either decrease or increase it) depending on how stats of the equipment you will choose will compare with certain "recommended" values. If you try to give you recruit the best items he can possibly carry, you will not like the result. It won't be worth it. Still, when it will come to the highest-tier troops, then dragon scale armor, heavy full plates, best weapons and heavy chargers - they will all be yours if you want to maximize.

All items were rebalanced from scratch.

Almost all low-quality, low-resolution textures and models were replaced with better ones. More than a hundred of new items was added, including several heraldic armors.

Hundreds of textures we recompressed, resized and "re-uvmapped" which resulted in mod size decreasing from ~3.5Gbs to 1.7Gbs.

The mod now has ~140 mounts, ~450 pieces of body armor, ~340 helmets, ~90 boots, ~40 gloves, ~170 shields, ~50 bows, 12 crossbows, 26 throwing weapons, ~250 1h weapons, ~170 bastard and 2h weapons, ~130 polearms. 99% of them are mid-to-high quality.

Most items were manually assigned to factions, so no more mess in shops. If it's a Draharan town, merchants sell Draharan stuff, not Valahir, dwarven or Maccavian.
Better female versions of armor were made thanks to K0nr@d and snouz.

Factions and soldiers

5 new major factions: Aroulo, 2 Giant factions (Sut and Bakhal), Kuu-lan Horde and Cretas. Geldar (former Bluewood elves) also became a major faction.

All soldiers were rebalanced and reequipped from scratch. And while many were again given (partially) the equipment they used in previous versions, there are some that were completely re-done: like Falcons, Eagles or Freelancers. The main focus was to make each faction different from other factions and have its own easily distinguishable "style" and more pronounced color pattern.

Recruitment conditions were "tightened". If it's your own prisoners, you can only recruit them as long as they are from friendly factions and have smaller level than yours. If it's some other party's prisoners you are rescuing, they will be more eager to join, though you will still need high level, high persuasion skill and good relationship with prisoners' factions to be able to rescue elite soldiers.

Your regular soldiers are no longer just muscles. Each faction has several soldiers that are good (skl>4) at one of the following skills: pathfinding, spotting, tracking, foraging, medical skills, leadership, trainer, engineering, prisoner management. The presence of a certain amount of such soldiers in your party will boost your own respective skills (up to the very limit, if you have many such soldiers), with the exception of leadership. Soldiers that are good leaders will boost your troops' morale instead.

Bandits (looting>4) will steal your loot. More charismatic troops (all sorts of champions, knights, nobles, kingsmen etc.) will demand higher upkeep than humble troops. Soldiers with higher intelligence and tactics skill will do better in autocalc battles than their less intelligent comrades.

Companions and lords

1 new companion. Old companions were rebalanced and reequipped. So were all lords, claimants and kings. Their faces were also changed.

Lords' skill were made more important. Lords' income will directly and noticeably depend on their looting, prisoner management, persuasion and trade skills. Foraging and leadership will reduce troops' upkeep for lords. Rich lords will share their excessive money with their poorer family members, friends, fiefs (which always had their own budget, unaffected by lords' wealth) and generally lords of their faction that are at need.

Skills, attributes, equipment and banners for each lord were hand-picked and set manually. You will never find 2 lords with identical equipment or skills.

Getting 90+ relationship with a lord will give +1 to a certain attribute which depends on the lord' personality, i.e. your friend will give you useful advice that will help you get stronger, smarter, more chrismatic or agile.

A new, more straight way to recruit lords was added. This is a dialogue option that you will see when you start your own kingdom. The whole is quite large and lords' willingness to join you will depend on their personality, but in general things such as your RtR, renown, honor, persuasion skill, tactics, leadership and level will be taken into account. There is no random or conditions that you can't influece (like in Native, when you can only start intriguing if a lord doesn't like his king) or some silly messangers with gifts and offers, just straight math - a certain number of points (difficult to achive, though still absolutely realistic) you need to get to persuade a lord to join you. Only 6 lords cannot be possibly recruited this way.

Quite a few lords were given unique party templates, e.g. some Valahir lords will use Volheere troops, one Hakkon lord will only use gladiators and so on.

Fiefs, scenes, locations

Many fief locations were changed for better logistics and logics (like villages are now often placed closer to factions' centers while walled fiefs form a border).

Completely new scenes for Zann Castle, Mercenary Guild, Kuu-lan town (Tumatarhun) and some quest scenes by Syabr. New scenes for Leuven and some other fiefs.

Quite a few fief scenes were swapped/replaced to match global map terrain.

New location: Mercenary Guild. It works the same way as refugee camps in HOMM3 or Mercenary Guild in Eador or similar locations in some other games. Any soldiers (apart from very few exceptions) can randomly come there and be hired as a mercenaries.

19 new entry points were added to castle interiors in each town - feasts in towns will now be a lot more lively. A couple of new castle interior scenes were added.

History of changes:
HF1 - fixes unique dwarven start and a couple of errors in weekly budget.
HF2 - fixes Red Immortal patrol not being attackable and equipment of custom troops not loading when you load a save file. Though you will need to equip them again, if you already did that in the past. I'm sorry, it was an unexpected backstab from the game engine.
HF3 - fixes plenty of minor issues such as Aroulo background start, errors when you try to recruit villagers via a conversation with a village elder, a spear being mentioned in "northern village" start but not actually being present in player's inventory etc. Note: if you already hired Dohosan, his name may change (just the name). But you are actually the last people who can see him. He's gone. I'm sorry, I wasn't informed until the release that he was supposed to be replaced because of his incompatibility with Perisno lore.
HF4 - neck part of elven armor was kindly fixed by snouz. A couple of errors in conversations with major factions' merc captains were fixed.
HF5 - buffed loot a little in the long run to compensate for more expensive items rarely being looted, fixed a bug which resulted in your skills getting buffed after changing custom mercs' equipment while having any temporary bonuses, added an option to change the race and gender of custom mercs (except for the giant race - their incompatible equipment is a pain to code), fixed some dialogue errors, removed the that spawns new sea traders (personally, I never had any technical problems with them in 0.8, and I can swear that they are not the cause of lags, but I'm done hearing complaints about the feature that I don't even really like myself), increased the spawn rate of looters.
HF6 - BS min and max slider values changed to 90-378; duels were fixed (after you make arrangements, you need to exit the party screen and take a couple of steps on the global map - it's a necessary workaround to an engine bug), Svafar's dialogue was fixed (turns out the quest was finished but most likely wasn't correctly merged at some point), I halved recruitment cost for major faction mercs, fixed no_string names of female vassals when they switched factions, fixed caravans of player's kingdom not spawning. Also this hotfix should improve performance on the global map a little.
HF7 - fixed/buffed renown gain (at least as my tests show), fixed custom titles, (hopefully) fixed the quest where you need to destroy Zann hordes, probably fixed the bug when Zann castle becomes visible too soon (or, to be more precise, coded a workaround which I can't test though because I don't even know who and when gives the quest that causes this bug), probably fixed sectarian scouts spawning endlessly, halved recruitment cost of slaves and fixed some errors in that dialogue, fixed a couple of unreadable books.
Buffed max. prisoner limit in updated version. Fixed the issue when your relation with Zann wouldn't deteriorate when you join a faction that's at war with them.
HF8 - fixed "special mission" (ask Baron Gereon for it if you ever have 75+ relation with him), a couple of fixes in other quests, fixed Freelancer mode taking your banner and not giving it back, fixed human vs giant equipment issues on arenas.
HF9 - optimized global map triggers a little more, added an option to disable infamous dodging from "Change game settings" menu, added an ability to recruit nobles of a faction you belong to in any of its original towns though in smaller numbers than in your own town, increased renown gain per battle for playing on larger BS and with a bigger number of reinforcement waves, fixed several issues here and there.
HF10 - fixed a couple of bugs connected to serving as a mercenary, a bug when you couldn't make those greedy custom troops use less equipment when they currently use (i.e. take something from their inventory and not give anything in return), added alternative keys to use treasury for players with laptops: ↑, ↓ and → in addition to NUM1, NUM2 and NUM3 respectively, fixed another bug with Zann Hordes.
HF11 - bugs, bugs everywhere. :( Also made Kaikoth Mountain Warriors upgradable into Kaikoth Iron Guardsmen.
HF12 - added ~20 new player's merc companies coded by KS, tuned economy to avoid excessively rich fiefs in the long run (test, day 362, lvl 52: the biggest town garrison is 1743 in Amarna and it's stable), improved escorts' AI (they will join sieges), fixed bonus attribute points being not "receivable" from lords of player's own faction, added Zann Hordes to the list of parties of which locations you're notified, the siege scenes of Fountain Hall, Karnoth, Arish and Federo Castle were fixed by Syabr, 2 "neckless" giant armors were fixed by snouz.
HF13 - added options to mass-recruit Freelancers and slaves, increased payment to player as a mercenary, added Grund siege scene and Esahil Castle siege scene fixed by Syabr, probably fixed the endless completion of Zann engineer quest, some minor fixes here and there (nothing particularly important).
HF14 - quite a few of minor bug fixes/scene fixes, added the ability to change the race of Household Guards (in "Manage your kingdom" menu in town menu). After installing the hotfix and loading your game do not change the race immediately (if your last save just happened to be at your town and changing the race is the first thing you decided to do), take at least a couple hour walk around the global map.
HF15 - added fixes for Aroulo town siege and guards' entry points (when they catch you sneaking into the town), made female and dwarven armor available for hired mercs (you will find it below horses), made marshals take escorts into account while calculating strength values and making decisions (in theory, hard to test), took helmets from Elintoran Riders and Bowmen, fixed constable training wrong kind of troops (hopefully), added lore of Kuu-lan Horde to game notes, fixed some minor bugs. UPD: fixed Kingslayer quest, made "fief guardians" (Elintoran noble maidens etc.) spawn in every fief, not only in a faction's original fiefs; added Aroulo village scenes fixed by Syabr; extended the ability to give troops to lords by including lords from player's current faction whose relationship with player >=60; altered the "prisoner rescue" (first, if you rescue soldiers from faction X while being at war with this faction but also having a culture of this faction in your kingdom, half of them will join you; second, if you rescue soldiers from a destroyed faction, relation condition will be passed automatically and only level condition will remain - Falcons are, naturally, an exception to this rule).
HF16 - added troop/prisoner sorting by level before you see troop exchange screen after a victory, fixed (in theory) female lords sending love letters to ladies and vice versa, removed some quest NPCs from taverns/castles after their quests are finished, fixed bad code for "I want to give up a fief" option (before this, the fiefs you gave up would never get a new lord, at least as long as they don't switch a faction), fixed a bug with extra experience at game start, fixed some other minor bugs
Important: added mass prisoner taking. How it works: while viewing prisoner exchange screen after a battle, select any enemy prisoner (preferably the top one), hold LEFT CTRL, hold A and click "capture". It will add as many prisoners as you can have into your party, i.e. you will not need to select prisoner stacks one by one and click "capture" again and again.

HF17 - included siege fixes for Lille, Lesbere, Maccan, Dillac Castle, new scene for Verek Castle by Syabr, tightened conditions for lord conversion, slightly loosened conditions for lords to not complain about other lords who get fiefs, made multiple small balance changes (like -1 level here, +20WP there etc.) for different soldiers (will only affect new games).
hotfix说明:
1.修复矮人开局和一些每周支出问题。
2.修复红色不朽者巡逻队无法被攻击,和自建兵种的装备在新存档无法读取的问题。
3.修复很多小问题,例如Aroulo背景开局,北方村子开局等,顺便NPC Dohosan因为背景缘故被替换。
4.精灵甲的脖子部分被Snouz(潘德现任模型师和coder)热情地修复了。一些主要阵营雇佣军队长的对话错误也被修复。
5.出于某些贵重物品很难爆出考虑,略微加强了大战斗的掠夺结果,修复一个会导致玩家在改变自定义雇佣军装备后会增加技能的bug,增加改变自定义雇佣军种族和性别的选项(当然没有巨人族,装备契合的设定太难设计了),修复一些对话问题,移除重生新的海商的脚本(个人讲我没受到这些东西影响,但我发誓他们绝对不是造成延迟的原因,不过我听到了一些抱怨,反正这个设定我自己也不喜欢,移除吧),增加掠夺者重生率。
6.最小最大战场值被修改为90-378,决斗可以正常进行了,Svafar(复仇者开局要杀的领主)的对话被修复,减半了主要阵营雇佣军的价格,修复了女性领主换阵营的一些bug,修复玩家阵营没商队的bug,这个补丁还会略微增加大地图流畅度。
7.修复/加强声望提升,修复自定义标题,可能修复了关于赞恩任务的bug一系列bug,可能修复了宗教巡逻队无线再生的问题,减半了招募奴隶的价格并且修复一些对话bug,修复了一些不可阅读的书籍。增加了俘虏管理的效果。修复你和赞恩关系在你加入敌对赞恩阵营后不会下降的bug。
8.修复”特殊任务“(在关系75+后问Gereon公爵要任务),一系列其他任务的bug也被修复,修复小兵模式取走你的旗帜后不奉还的问题,修复人类在巨人竞技场的装备问题。
9.略微优化大地图触发器,增加一个选项来取消不那么受欢迎的“闪避”功能,在“Change game settings”菜单可以找到,增加一个在所属国家城镇内招募贵族的功能,当然这个招募的数目比从你自己的城内要小点,增加打战场时的声望奖励,修复一些问题。
10.修复了一系列作为雇佣军的BUG,修复一个自建兵种装备配置问题,增加了使用金库的快捷键,↑, ↓ 和→,修复了一个z a n 恩部落的BUG。
11.修复了一些很恼人的BUG,略微拓展了矮人国的升级树。
12.增加了20个雇佣军小队(由KS,本版任务主要设计人添加),改变经济系统以免领主在后期过于富有,增加护卫队的AI(他们甚至会在路过时加入城战),修复玩家不在自己阵营的领主中获取属性的BUG,把z a n 恩部落增加到提示目录里,Syabr修复了一系列场景问题,snouz(现潘德制作人)修复了一些巨人族装备没有脖子的问题。
13.增加混找自由佣兵和奴隶的选项,提高玩家雇佣军的价格,又增加了两个来自Syabr的新场景(同理12的场景改变,具体改变了哪些场景,有兴趣的去看英文日志),很可能修复了赞恩任务无法完成的问题,修复一些不太重要的小BUG。
14.修复一些场景BUG,增加改变玩家私兵种族的选项(在城镇选项的管理你的王国里),这个改变不会立即生效,不过等等就行了。
15.增加并修复阿若罗国家城战守卫的出生点(包括潜入时),让自建系可以使用女性和矮人装备(在马的选项下面选择),让元帅在决定策略时会把护卫队考虑在内,修复治安官训练错误的士兵种类的问题,移除艾琳托精灵一些兵种的头盔(隐形化),当玩家与同阵营领主关系60+后,可以向其赠送士兵,增加库兰部落的背景,修复一些其他BUG。PS:修复弑君者任务的一些问题,让“领地护卫”在每一个领地重生,加强营救功能,具体太绕了没看懂,欢迎实际体验过的补充。
16.增加胜利后按照等级分类查看兵种的选项,修复女领主搞拉拉的问题,修复一些酒馆NPC任务问题,修复放弃领地的一些问题(例如你放弃领地后这个领地在更换阵营前不会再被分封),修复开局错误获得经验,以及一些其他问题。
17.Syabr又修复了一大堆场景问题,修改了下领主对话,轻微让领主不再为封地而互相争斗,一些轻微的平衡性改动(需要新存档)。
